Boris has made good progress in the Grade Two programme this term. Boris is a quiet and conscientious asked of him. He asks for assistance or clarification if it is needed and completes his written work accurately and thoroughly. Boris chooses a variety of picture books, non-fiction material and novels for his independent reading. He reads in phrases and applies his phonics skills and context clues to successfully decode unfamiliar words. He demonstrates his comprehension of text both orally and in his written tasks.

Michelle continues to make very good progress in all areas. She is pleasant, cooperative and participates in a quiet manner in all of our activities. Michelle is learning to speak loud and clear and be more of a risk-taker by taking an active part in discussions. Your science project oral presentation was excellent and your topic was the most unique and original. Wow! Michelle is able to independently read, understand and respond with connections, details and supporting evidence. She is working on finding the deeper meaning and making inferences. I always look forward to reading her writing pieces. Bravo! She has mastered her basic math facts. Big improvement! She is learning to analyze problems to develop an efficient plan.
