May Fest Kaslo

Kaslo was the region's first incorporated city, founded in 1893 and originally called Kane's Landing. It was known as the commercial centre of the gold, silver and lead-mining industries during the boom of the 1890s. Now Kaslo enjoys memories of that time in its beautiful heritage buildings, the celebration of May Days (each and every year since 1893), and the S.S. Moyie, a sternwheeler/museum on the shore of Kootenay Lake.
When you experience the sight of the breathtaking mountains and spectacular lake you will appreciate how privileged the residents are to be living here. You will notice a strong sense of community as the people and businesses of Kaslo welcome you to their unique town!
