For the last ten years Nicholas has been my friend, a friend forever even though he moved to Victoria and Japan. 600+ kilometres away brought me to understand the true value of friendship. Switching houses and seeing each other after exciting flights without our parents opened our eyes and kept us friends.

This summer Nicholas came here for a week and even though the smoke from several forest fires were covering nelson, we had a great time from tubing down a raging river to playing a very serious game of chess. Friends are forever and I can’t wait to see him again!
